Originally from country Victoria, Thomas moved to Melbourne at 17 to further his dance training at Danceworld 301. Once immersed in dance culture, he realised his passion for Classical Ballet and successfully auditioned for The Ballet Theatre of Victoria, where he was awarded a scholarship to attend. Under the watchful eye of former Australian Ballet Soloist Leeanne Rutherford, he went on to win The Ballet Teachers Workshop-Paul Hammond Scholarship. Since graduating Thomas has performed as guest artist with The Duprada Dance Company under the direction of Lynne Hanton, dancing the principal roles of ÔFranzÕ in Coppelia , ÔPrince AlbrechtÕ in Giselle and ÔPrince SiegfriedÕ in Swan Lake. Thomas enjoyed his debut season with The Tasmanian Classical Ballet Company last year, dancing the principle role in their production of The Nutcracker. Thomas looks forward to joining TCBC once again for their production of Swan Lake. |
